# Installation

### Initial setup

This setup covers the BIOS and Windows settings required before launch.

### BIOS settings

Enable the setting that matches your CPU:

* **Intel** — `VT-x` or `VT-d`
* **AMD** — `SVM`

`TPM` can stay **On** or **Off**.

`Secure Boot` can stay **On** or **Off** here.

### Windows settings

Turn these features off:

* **Hyper-V**
* **Virtual Machine Platform**
* **Windows Hypervisor Platform**

### Open Windows Features

Press `Win` and search for **Turn Windows features on or off**.

### Disable virtualization features

Uncheck:

* **Hyper-V**
* **Virtual Machine Platform**
* **Windows Hypervisor Platform**

### Restart your PC

Restart after you apply the changes.
